Reiki

Definition

A natural therapy system for restoring the health of our body, a scientific method of stress reduction, balance and energy replenishment. Reiki is a Japanese word meaning universal life energy. Today this word is used to identify the "Usui Natural System" (Usui Shiki Ryoho), named in honor of the man who rediscovered it, Mikao Usui.

Rei means universal energy and refers to the spiritual part, the cosmic energetic essence that permeates all things and surrounds every place.

Ki is the individual life energy that surrounds our bodies keeping them alive, present and flowing through every living organism. When Ki energy leaves a body, that body no longer has life.

Reiki is a process where these two energies meet — universal energy with our physical portion — and it occurs after a person undergoes an attunement or initiation process of the method, performed by a qualified master.

Reiki is part of your life! We all have a right to Reiki energy (Universal Life Force Energy), a divine gift and a true miracle. Reiki is our innate right, a powerful gift, an opportunity to learn, grow and transform. It is a healing energy that comes from God, from the Creator. Reiki is one of the greatest forces on this planet for the evolution of people.

Reiki is a path of inner harmonization, of harmony with the universe. A gift that, once received, is never lost, and will accompany you for the rest of your existence, working on your body, mind and spirit.

Reiki is a system that activates and restores the natural energies of the human being, restoring health. It works as an instrument for transforming harmful energies into beneficial ones. It is a gift from the macrocosm bestowed upon the microcosm we inhabit; an energy of peace and liberation with which the Creator blesses the world to hold back violence and self-destructive tendencies; a powerful antidote against the cigarettes, alcoholism and drugs that degrade humanity.

Reiki is a unique method for unblocking the powers that live within you, an energy-capturing and multiplying system, presenting itself as a revolutionary and complete system for adapting the human being to the demands of the new Age of Aquarius.

Advantages and Benefits of Reiki

a) Simplicity and Practicality

Reiki is the democratization of health and bodily balance, available to everyone. It's a method available immediately. Unlike other techniques, one learns to work with the energy from the very start. No object or equipment is required. Only the touch of the Reiki practitioner's hands on their own body or on another person's. Reiki is available 24 hours a day, regardless of the situation, location or the state of the practitioner. Reiki does not depend on a particular setting or physical posture as in yoga.

b) Breaks Through Time and Space

Unlike better-known therapies that require physical contact, such as massage, shiatsu, do-in, chiropractic, chromotherapy, etc., Reiki can be applied in person as well as at a distance, successfully, as if it were radio waves.

Reiki energy is multidimensional, meaning it operates in the fourth dimension, where the time/space factor is no longer a fundamental attribute. In the fourth dimension we find the "continuum," where there is no past, present or future — which explains how great prophets, such as Michel de Nostredame (Nostradamus), who lived in France 500 years ago, were able to obtain information about events that had yet to occur. In this way, Reiki can be sent to a past trauma (assault, rape, fight, dismissal), reprogramming the emotional damage, as well as being programmed to act on a future event (a hearing, job interview, air travel, dentist visit), etc.

Energy can be sent to the planet, to a country in crisis, to a group of people, to a forest being devastated, to endangered animals, to the ozone layer, to peace-working groups, etc.

c) Holistic

Holistic comes from the Greek word "holos," meaning whole — in other words, Reiki acts on the totality of the being, on the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies.

When, for example, we visit a dentist or a dermatologist, we aim to heal a problem of the physical body. When we seek the support of a psychologist, we aim for the balance of the emotional body; in the case of psychiatric treatment, the goal shifts to the mental body. Many seek out religious leaders when the goal is the spiritual body.

When we make use of Reiki energy, we are applying light energy, aiming to recover and maintain physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health. Reiki promotes well-being, calms and rapidly relieves physical pain, and speeds up the recovery of health in our body, putting an end to emotional traumas from the present and the past; it is a natural method of balancing, restoring, refining and treating all the bodies, creating, for the being, a state of harmony.

We know from our own experience that the quality of health a person initially established for themselves will be elevated after Reiki initiation. Upon receiving Reiki, the recipient's body relaxes, the heart rate reaches its resting level, as does the breathing rate. The facial expression can be observed to soften. Often the recipient even falls asleep and wakes up feeling revitalized.

Reiki cannot replace medicine, but in many cases it accomplishes, in a gentler and more positive way, things that medicine cannot. It improves the immune system; people overcome pains that had tormented them for years, and feel more loving, happy and receptive. We have observed the complete improvement of constipation with just a few Reiki applications. Given the constant regeneration of our tissues, Reiki brings about changes in the chemical structure of the body, helping to restore the muscles, nerves, skeleton, and to regenerate organs. It alters everything that needs to change in the physical and etheric organism.

Reiki treatments release tension, enhancing the body's ability. They detoxify, balance and expand energy, working at the causal level of the ailment, addressing the root of problems which are generally emotional. Reiki helps release blocked emotions. Reiki is an excellent resource for balancing the seven main Chakras, located from the base of the spine to the top of the head.

d) No Polarity and Safe

A person with an energetic imbalance, with a predominance of Yang energy, ends up developing behaviors such as impatience, intolerance, irritability, aggressiveness, hyperactivity, etc. Another, with a predominance of Yin energy, develops behaviors such as apathy, sadness, melancholy, discouragement and depression. Polarized therapies may amplify the effects of this imbalance, with negative results for those receiving them.

Reiki is a non-polarized method, and therefore always safe. The energy is one and unified, of triple activity, since it holds within itself the positive polarity (Yang), the negative (Yin) and the neutral. Being non-polarized, it requires no diagnosis and can even be used on children for the treatment of chronic illnesses.

It is not like electricity — it doesn't produce shorts, doesn't destroy nerves or more fragile tissues, such as the eyes, for example. It is a safe and harmless energy, with no side effects or contraindications. Being non-polarized, it is compatible with any other form of therapy, medical treatment or spiritual development.

It is a method with no negative consequences, and never causes pain or harm, largely because Reiki energy cannot be manipulated by the practitioner giving it, who simply places their hands and allows the energy to flow. The amount is determined by the person receiving it, so there is no way to overdose on Reiki. The moment an area becomes balanced, it stops requesting energy. If the practitioner keeps their hands in place, they will simply be wasting their time. A similar effect applies to the quality of the energy; it is the receiving person's Chakra in disharmony that determines this. Each Chakra requires energy with a different resonance. The sooner Reiki application begins, the better and faster the results.

e) Expansion of Consciousness

Reiki increases our physical, emotional and mental energy, expanding our auric field. Using an auric field meter, we can detect the presence of energy at a distance of one meter from a non-initiated person; in a level 3-A Reiki practitioner, the energy can be detected at 2.3 meters away. This expansion in the auric field brings about an unmistakable transformation in anyone.

We can mention some benefits of this expansion of consciousness, such as reawakening or broadening our spiritual connection with the Creator, widening our horizons, expanding the connection with our Higher Self, increasing our understanding of the mysteries of life, increasing sensitivity to harmful energies, developing the Heart Chakra, expanding the consciousness of love, and the ability to achieve total health unconditionally.

Reiki leads a person to pay more attention to themselves. You'll have the opportunity to discern more clearly the obstacles you yourself have created in your life, and become more open to becoming aware of and listening to truths generally denied, making it easier to connect with yourself. Reiki will confront you with people and situations that will help you discover more about yourself. This increase in perception, aided by Reiki, becomes an important step for development, growth and self-knowledge. All of this will also result in increased creativity.

This energetic expansion will likewise broaden intuition. You may find yourself thinking of someone and having that person call or reach out to you, or concentrating on a problem and having the solution appear through intuition or through another person, a book, a newspaper, etc.

f) No Religious Connotation or Creed

Reiki is a scientific method of therapy, a system included among the alternative therapeutic practices recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO), an agency of the United Nations (UN).

Reiki is sacred, yet it is not a religion or a philosophical system surrounded by restrictions and taboos; it adapts to any culture, race, creed, sect or age. There will come a time when humanity unites, as it has done in other eras, in medicine, science and religion. There is no doubt that Reiki will play a major role in helping humanity reach fullness. Reiki does not use talismans, prayers, mentalizations, visualizations, or even faith — that is, believing in it is not necessary for its transmission or effect.

g) No Diagnosis

Diagnosis is a medical prerogative. A therapist who performs one would be illegally practicing a profession, with serious legal implications set out in the Penal Code, such as the illegal practice of a profession, quackery and charlatanism. For a diagnosis to be carried out competently and successfully, a person must dedicate years of their life to the study of anatomy, physiology and biochemistry.

The Reiki technique does not require a diagnosis of the pathology to carry out treatment successfully; this is because it is an "intelligent" energy. It penetrates the recipient's body and, through the energy meridians and Chakras, travels down to the causal plane, the root of the imbalances or ailments.

h) Never Becomes Obsolete

A medical professional who graduates today, if they stop reading and studying, will not stay up to date and will certainly become obsolete, since technological advancement moves very fast (remember that until 1945 medicine did not know of penicillin). The same could happen with other techniques. The Reiki technique does not become obsolete — it is the same technique it was thousands of years ago. It remains always the same, like a divine gift.

i) No Need to Undress

Many techniques require the therapist to have their patient undress, which can put them in an embarrassing situation. In Reiki, we don't need the recipient to undress, since the energy penetrates without any problem through anything, including metals. However, when applying Reiki, we recommend removing accessories such as bracelets, watches, earrings, rings, buckles, etc., due to their interference with the recipient's electromagnetic field (aura).

j) Complementary

Reiki can be used on its own, as well as as a complement to any other conventional or alternative technique, largely because the energy has no polarity. The possibilities for combining it with various techniques are endless.
